HONOLULU - (06/21/06) A serial robber who favors wigsand hospital scrubs to cover his identity is believed beresponsible for Mondays hold-up at Hawaii State FCU inPearlridge, the bandits eight since October. The robber,wearing a blond wig and hospital scrubs, walked into the creditunion at 5:45 p.m. and handed a note to a teller saying he had agun and demanding money. He was given an undisclosed amount of cashand fled on foot, police said. Several details, including thesuspect being described in his 30s, hitting the credit union nearclosing time, and the use of the wig and hospital scrubs, aresimilar to those in seven other Oahu bank robberies since Oct. 24.They include two robberies at the Kapolei branch of HickamFCU.
