MODESTO, Calif. - (11/04/04) -- An unidentified woman slugged anassailant in the face who tried to rob her after making a cashwithdrawal at The Golden 1 CU ATM here Tuesday. The woman has justwithdrawn cash form her credit union account when three men pulledup in a car. When one stepped out and demanded money, the memberfirst said 'no,' according to police. When the assailant repeatedhis demand and said he had a gun, she punched him in the face andhe ran off.
