Member Savings At CUs Hit The Half-Trillion Dollar Mark

Member savings at credit unions hit the one-half-trillion dollar threshold in November of last year, according to analysis released by CUNA. Deposits continue to flow into credit unions, and the industry loan-to-share ratio has slid to 70.4% from 71.6%. Members had placed $501.1 billion of their savings in CUs by November 2002, CUNA said, up from $447.4 billion one year earlier.
