Members 1st FCU Employee Passes Just Short Of 50 Years Service

MECHANICSBURG, Penn. – Members 1st FCU was mourning the death of Martin Ripson, its former manager who served the past 22 years there as a Notary Public and in charge of the Senior Citizens Corner, at 89.

Ripson, a World War II veteran, became general manager of what then was known as Naval Supply Depot FCU in 1962. He helped it grow into Members 1st FCU, one of the biggest credit unions in the country with $2 billion in assets. After his retirement in 1989 he continued on in the part-time roles until his death June 18, just short of 50 years service.
