PALMYRA, Penn. – Members 1st FCU plans to open a student-run branch in Palmyra Area High School next month, the credit union fifth in-school facility.
The $1.5 billion credit union will hire students as tellers, who will be supervised by a credit union employee. Members 1st has paid to install a vault, cabinetry and computers at the branch and expects to spend about $30,000 on infrastructure.
The credit union has branches in several area high schools and plans to add more. Members 1st is also planning to build a new branch in Palmyra along Route 422 across from Palmyra Shopping Center and another in Hershey.
