MECHANICSBURG, Penn. - Members 1st Federal Credit Union was recently named Lender of the Year by SunTrust Mortgage, Inc.

The award is given to a financial institution in Pennsylvania and West Virginia that maintains an outstanding correspondent relationship with SunTrust Mortgage, Members 1st said.

Members 1st Federal Credit Union has been originating mortgage loans within the state of Pennsylvania for over 20 years. In 2006, Members 1st FCU originated more than $214 million in residential mortgages and has maintained a strong correspondent relationship with SunTrust Mortgage since 1997.
