SAN JOSE, Calif. – Members of Golden Bay FCU, in nearby Mountain View, overwhelmingly approved the combination of the $210 million credit union into $1.2 billion Meriwest CU, one of the biggest credit union mergers in recent years. In the wake of the merger Meriwest, once one of IBM’s employees’ credit unions, will have 19 branches in the Bay Area and two in Tucson, Ariz.
