MEMPHIS, Tenn. – Memphis Area Teachers CU has begun a $200,000 rebranding campaign that could culminate in a name change for the 51-year-old credit union in 2009.
The credit union has been broadening its field of membership to include community groups, so that just 35% of its 55,000 members are current or retired education employees.
The credit union plans to start studying a new name in the fourth quarter.
