GREENBELT, Md. – Educational Systems FCU is scheduled to complete its combination with troubled Montgomery County Teachers FCU today, creating an educational employees credit union with almost $800 million in assets and 10 branches in six southern Maryland counties.
The $400-million MCT FCU, which has just 4.3% net worth, will operate as a standalone division of Educational Systems FCU.
The integration of the data systems at the combined credit union, which will be the state’s 10th largest, is not expected until next year.
