CENTENNIAL, Colo.–Metrum Community Credit Union is offering its members a free gas card on any new or used auto loan for vehicles that get 27 highway miles per gallon or better. The offer is good for approved loan applications received by August 31, with a $5,000 minimum loan amount. The gas card amount is $7 of gas per $1,000 of the approved loan. Therefore, a member with a $20,000 auto loan will receive $140 in free gas. “It’s the credit union’s way of encouraging people to help the environment, and to ease the burden of high gas prices for our members,” Steve Kelly, Metrum Community CU president, said in a press release.
