NAPERVILLE, Ill. - More than 20 credit union executives from Mexico visited with the Illinois Credit Union League. The group also toured and met with staff members at Members United Corporate FCU, Credit Union 1, and NorthStar CU, all located near the league, as part of their trip.
Two staff members from WOCCU accompanied the group. At the ICUL meeting, staff presented an overview of its services, which included its educational and legislative programs, the Illinois Credit Union Foundation, website and electronic communications capabilities. The delegation also learned about the ICUL Service Corp. and its products.
“In Mexico, there are 12 federations that serve credit unions, and they all run their business differently. It was helpful to hear how ICUL, as a single organization, coordinates its services effectively and efficiently,” said William Bonilla of WOCCU.
