The $123 million-asset CU will be closed Thursday, July 31 at 3 p.m. through Monday, Aug. 4 while the change occurs. Online account access will not be available during the conversion.

That means online bill pay, online banking, mobile banking and telephone banking will be shut down starting close of business July 31 until the conversion is completed.

Tina Hamilton, CEO of Michigan Community CU, said in a prepared statement, "Converting to a new core processing system has been a long time in the making."

Michigan Community CU began notifying members about the pending conversion in April.

Conversion communication to members included information on the CU's website, a printed and online "Conversion Guide," member newsletter articles, in-branch posters, e-mail messages, social media posts and t-shirts worn by employees.
