Michigan CUs Hit TheAirwaves

DETROIT - (03/15/05) -- Local area credit unions have beguna 12-station advertising campaign in the Detroit metropolitan area.The advertising buy, which began running Feb. 28, consists ofdrive-time traffic report sponsorships on Metro Detroit area ClearChannel Network stations, as well as four additional networkstations in the Ann Arbor area. The traffic report sponsorshipsconsist of an opening sponsor message and a 15-second credit unionmessage. Each station is airing 10 credit union-sponsored reportsper week over a four-week schedule. Also included in this mediacampaign is a two-week schedule of about 100 60-second spots onMetro Detroit's top-rated news station, WWJ-AM 950, and athree-week buy of 240 spots on its sister station, WXYT-AM 1270.The almost 800 total credit union commercials and promotionalannouncements to be aired in the campaign are expected to reachmore than 2 million people.
