Michigan CUs Merged Out

EDMORE, Mich. – Heartland Employees CU, a one-time $4.5 million credit union, has been approved by state regulators to merge into River Valley CU, a 454 million credit union in nearby Ada.

Heartland reported its assets have dwindled to $3 million and it had an operating loss of $4,318 in the first quarter, following a loss of $227,941 for 2008.

Regulators also approved the merger of Milan FCU, in Milan, into University of Michigan CU, in Ann Arbor.
