LANSING, Mich. – Two graduating students at Michigan State University won a complete personal makeover from MSU FCU, enhancing their prospects as they enter the "real world" in the toughest job markets in decades.
The credit union’s Real World Makeover Contest will provide the graduates, one male and one female, with hair styling, makeup, a professional wardrobe, jewelry and graduation items such as a school ring and invitations, as well as a $500 credit on their MSU FCU Visa card.
Once the student's new look is complete, a "reveal party" with family and friends will be hosted by the Kellogg Center near the MSU campus.
More than 120 young MSU FCU members described their achievements and explained why the makeover would benefit them.
This year's winners were Kristina Worthy, who majored in human resource management, and Jordan Randall Shelly, who majored in environmental biology and zoology.
