WICHITA, Kan. – Mid America CU is offering a different member experience inside its new eastside branch – a 900-square-foot cafe known as Savories Tasty Shop and Coffee House.
The café will offer free wireless Internet and have a separate drive-through window.
The 4,000-square-foot branch downtown will have another different twist: no traditional teller windows. Instead, it will have two stand-alone teller, or “dialogue,” stations that members will be walked to by a credit union staff member, who will greet the members at the door. Each station will be set up for members to do transactions, including cash. The branch also will offer other traditional services such as loans.
The $168-million credit union expects the new branch to open in November.
