WICHITA, Kan. — The $225 million-asset Mid American Credit Union has acquired the Lawrence Kan.-based Jayhawk FCU.

JFCU has $2 million in assets and 1,000 members.
"We have long had members in the [Lawrence] area thanks to relationships with numerous auto dealers in northeast Kansas, but this merger allows us to bring a range of services to those members and new services to Jayhawk Federal," said Mid American CEO Jim Holt in a statement.
Travis Colibert, manager of MACU's Arkansas City branch, has been named manager of the Lawrence office.
