LAKELAND, Fla. – MidFlorida CU, which is integrating mergers on Florida’s west and east coasts, is opening a new branch in Plant City in a former Regions Bank branch.
The $1.7-billion credit union also has built a branch at the site of the former Village Inn restaurant in Brandon.
MidFlorida entered Hillsborough County a year ago via a merger with Tampa-based Bay Gulf FCU.
The new branches come as MidFlorida announced a deal to acquire two branches on Florida’s east coast, in Vero Beach and Sebastian, with a merger of Indian River CU.
MidFlorida CU operates 36 branches and serves 150,000 members throughout the state.
