MidFlorida FCU To Renovate City’s Old Federal Building

LAKELAND, Fla. – MidFlorida FCU has agreed to renovate the 90-year-old federal building here.

The project was approved by city commissioners yesterday. The city owns the property.

Under the terms of tentative agreement, MidFlorida will pay the cost of the renovation, estimated at about $1 million. In return, the city will lease the property to MidFlorida for at least 40 years at $1 per year.
