WASHINGTON – Three defense CUs are being recognized for their contributions by the military.
Named as winners of Distinguished Service Awards are Fort Knox in Kentucky, which won the Army Award; Navy FCU’s branch at the Naval Submarine Base in Connecticut, which won the Navy/Marine Corps Award, and Hanscom FCU in Massachusetts, which won the Air Force Award. The awards recognize the delivery of financial service “above and beyond normal requirements,” special services provided at the command’s request, financial education and training, action taken to combat predatory lending, community support, and professional attitude and financial leadership.
The three CUs will be presented at the awards at the Defense CU Council’s annual meeting in Denver.
