MILWAUKEE – NCUA yesterday announced it has approved deposit insurance for the year’s first new credit union, Destiny CU.
The credit union will serve members, family and affiliated churches of Christian Faith Fellowship Church in Milwaukee, with a potential membership of around 5,000.
It is the first credit union chartered in Wisconsin since 2004, when two credit unions were opened, CTK CU and STAR CU. They were the first new state charters in the state in more than a decade.
