JACKSON, Miss. – Hope CU has opened a full-service branch in nearby Utica, two months after BancorpSouth, the town’s only bank, closed its branch there.
The $140-million credit union opened temporary branches in the town halls in Utica and nearby Edwards to serve the community after the banks closed down.
“Our support here has been overwhelming; there are so many families looking for practical solutions that will help them access and manage their assets,” branch manager LuxAnna Buckley said about the new Utica branch.
