Mississippi’s Central Sunbelt FCU Names Pennsylvania Exec As CEO

LAUREL, Miss. – Central Sunbelt FCU has hired W. Christopher Hammond, the head of $125 million 1st Ed CU in Chambersburg, Penn., as president and CEO of the $165 million credit union.

Hammond’s career includes more than 15 years of credit union experience. For 12 of those years, Hammond served in a CEO capacity.

Chartered as the Masonite Employees FCU in 1953, the name was changed to Central Sunbelt FCU in 1983 to reflect the inclusion of other employee groups into the field of membership.
