DALLAS - (09/16/05) -- Texas CU Foundation announcedThursday it has dedicated $110,000 to provide immediate cashassistance to credit union staff members scattered across the GulfCoast whose lives have been affected by Hurricane Katrina.Contributions will be used to make direct emergency grants of up to$500 for credit union employees impacted by the storm. "We willfollow up with additional dollars which will help those mostseriously affected rebuild their lives and their livelihoods," JillPhar, director of the foundation, told The Credit Union Journal. Todate, the credit union foundationhas raised nearly $258,000 forhurricane relief.
