FARMINGTON HILLS, Mich. Community Choice Credit Union said its foundation has now made more than $500,000 in scholarships to students “committed to ending Michigan’s brain drain.”
The Community Choice Foundation was launched in 2009 with the purpose of providing scholarships that encourage growth and investment in Michigan, and was done so in response to data showing the percentage of the state’s population with college degrees had shrunk 6.17% between 2000-09. To date the credit union has underwritten college expenses for 100 “Community Choice Scholars.”
