Curtis succeeds David Kwant, who retired as Mountain America’s CFO at year end, ending 24 years at the credit union.

Curtis, who recently was named one of the innovative leaders in Utah Business magazine’s “Forty under 40,” was senior vice president of finance at Mountain America for nine years. He previously worked for Grant Thornton LLP, providing auditing services. Curtis received his master’s degree in business administration and bachelor’s in accounting from the University of Utah. He is a Certified Public Accountant.

“Chad’s experience and business savvy fit perfectly in this critical strategic role. Dave Kwant set a high standard, and Chad has stepped right in and will help keep Mountain America on the path of excellence and progress,” said Sterling Nielsen, president of Mountain America.
