BALTIMORE – Municipal Employees CU will open its first student-run branch inside National Academy Foundation High School tomorrow.

The MECU branch will be the first of its kind in a Baltimore City public school. The head of the city’s school system will open the first account at the new in-school branch.

NAF-Baltimore prepares more than 300 students each year for careers in hospitality and tourism,

finance, and information technology through work-based learning curriculum and experiences, and partnerships with local business and industry professionals.

MECU is an $830 million credit union serving 90,000 members.
