NAFCU Hits New High With Its PAC Funds

NAFCU said last week it raised more than $40,000 for its political action committee during the group's annual convention in Vancouver in July, one of their best fundraisers ever.

The funds were raised during a golf tournament, a casino night, and a silent auction. The largesse gives NAFCU's PAC almost $200,000 of cash available heading into the final months of the congressional campaigns.

"We're going to get involved in some races down the road. This will give us a little something extra to make sure our friends are taken care of," Brad Thaler, NAFCU lobbyist told The Credit Union Journal. NAFCU hopes to make as much as $400,000 in campaign contributions during the current elections, its most ever.
