NAFCU Names Honorees for 2015 Awards

ARLINGTON, Va. — NAFCU has announced the winners of its annual awards competition.

Six individuals and two credit unions will be recognized in Montreal this June during the trade group's annual conference. They are as follows:

Federal Credit Union of the Year
Arlington Community Federal Credit Union, Arlington, Va. ($250 million or less)
Ascend Federal Credit Union, Tullahoma, Tenn. (more than $250 million)

CEO of the Year
Michael Warrell, Solano First Federal Credit Union, Fairfield, Calif. ($250 million or less)
Greg McClellan, MAX, Montgomery, Ala. (more than $250 million)

Professional of the Year
Amy Thomas, Arlington Community Federal Credit Union, Arlington, Va. ($250 million or less)
Bob Thompson, TruStone Financial Federal Credit Union, Plymouth, Minn. (more than $250 million)

Volunteer of the Year
Dan Moffit, XCEL Federal Credit Union, Bloomfield, N.J. ($250 million or less)
James Quinn, Pentagon Federal Credit Union, Alexandria, Va. (more than $250 million)

"This year's annual awards winners are remarkable leaders who have set a new bar for excellence in the credit union industry," NAFCU President and CEO Dan Berger said in a statement. "NAFCU is proud to honor each of them for their success and commitment to member service and the credit union industry."
