National Capital FCU Adds Visa payWave Card

LANDOVER, Md. – National Capital FCU said it is adding Visa payWave contactless cards to its portfolio of Visa credit cards.

The move comes as Visa is migrating its payWave platform to a global specification called Visa Contactless 2.0, which is based on international EMV chip standards.

The global specification is to ensure Visa payWave-enabled card users can use their contactless cards worldwide, while still providing issuers with the flexibility to customize programs to meet local market needs.
