WASHINGTON - (03/28/06) The National CU Foundation saidMonday it has extended the deadline for credit unions and relatedorganizations to submit applications to the Foundation forhomeownership counseling grants for one week, until April 14. TheFoundation will bundle the grant applications together for itsapplication for funding from the Department of Housing and UrbanDevelopment. Over the past three years, the Foundation has earnedmore than $1.7 million in HUD grants funding more than adozen credit union partners each year, reaching more than 7,200low-income homebuyers.
