Callis comes to NIH FCU from KeyPoint CU, in Santa Clara, Calif., where she served as executive vice president and chief operating officer for the $800 million institution. Callis has spent more than 20 years in credit union management, also working at Langley FCU, in Hampton, Va., where she was head of marketing and public relations from 1988 to 1995.

Callis is well known for participating in technology innovation in the credit union industry. Under the leadership of Callis, Keypoint CU won the 2007 Online Banking Report "Best of Web" award for launching the industry’s first ever FaceBook banking application. She also headed the credit union’s development of its international remittance program – a more convenient and less expensive alternative to traditional wire transfers.
