WASHINGTON – Navy FCU is among 60 companies that have agreed to participate in a new Department of Defense program aimed at expanding job opportunities for military spouses by connecting them with employers actively seeking to hire them.
The program will provide a website that allows spouses who want to work to see job openings at companies that would like to employ military spouses.
The site is called Military OneSource and is at militaryonesource.com. It offers job-seeking resources such as resume building. The program plans about 100 job fairs around the country, starting July 10.
Among the other participating companies are Microsoft, Home Depot and Starbucks.
