Navy FCU Lands At Another Army Outpost

ENTERPRISE, Ala. – Navy FCU, which has been invading new markets at Army, Marine and Air Force facilities, will open another new branch here this morning to serve more than 16,000 Department of Defense personnel and their families assigned to Fort Rucker, home of the U.S. Army Aviation Center of Excellence.

The new branch comes a week after the $5 billion credit union giant opened a facility in Manhattan, Kan, to serve to serve the 1st Infantry Division of the U.S. Army at Fort Riley, the oldest division in the U.S. Army.

The new branch is located at the intersection of Boll Weevil Circle and Fort Rucker Boulevard.

The nation’s largest credit union has added 1.1 million members since its field of membership expanded in 2008 beyond its core Navy base. Among the new members are 204,000 Army, Air Force, Department of Defense personnel and their families.

The credit union giant has opened seven new branches so far this year and plans an additional 10. After today it will have 216 branches worldwide.
