Navy FCU Sails On New Branch Binge

VIENNA, Va. – Navy FCU, which has opened 42 branches since the start of 2010, is opening two more branches Monday, its 6th and 7th new branches in the last four months.

Navy is floating its newest branches in Orlando, Florida, to serve 20,000 local members of the world’s biggest credit union, and San Marcos, California, where the credit union giant claims 100,000 local members.

Orlando’s Research Park facility is the $52 billion credit union’s 20th Florida branch and first new branch in the Orlando area in 10 years, while the San Marcos branch is its 34th in California.

Navy Federal opened a new branch in Washington’s Walter Reed Medical Center last month; at California’s Travis Air Force Base and in suburban Baltimore in October; and in Savannah, Ga. And Mission Viejo, California in September, and now operates 229 branches worldwide for its 4.2 million members.
