Navy Federal Expands To Arizona’s Luke Air Force Base With 205th Branch

VIENNA, Va. – Navy FCU said yesterday it is opening its first Air Force branch in Arizona to serve the 56th Fighter Wing at Luke Air Force Base.

Navy Fed said the new branch represents a commitment to serving the Air Force, which was added to the its field of membership three years ago when the credit union giant expanded to all branches of the military.

Navy Federal has two other branches in Yuma, Ariz. for the Marines stationed at Marine Corps Air Station Yuma, the busiest air station in the Marine Corps.

Navy Fed has opened five branches so far this year and plans to open four more by year end. Another 11 new branch openings are planned for 2011.

The $45 billion credit union, in the process of merging with San Diego’s USA FCU, will operate 204 branches around the world after the merger.
