Navy Federal Lands At Fort Leavenworth

VIENNA, Va. – Navy FCU is opening a new branch at Fort Leavenworth, Kan., this morning to serve the Army’s 12,700 active duty personnel, civilian employees and their families.

“As the oldest active Army post west of the Mississippi River, Navy Federal is proud of the rich history of Fort Leavenworth and are eager to serve members,” said Chevonne Colon, vice president, branch operations for the $46-billion credit union. Fort Leavenworth is home to the Combined Arms Center, U.S. Disciplinary Barracks, Battle Command Battle Laboratory and Command and General Staff College.

Earlier this year, Navy Federal opened its first branch in nearby Manhattan, Kan., to serve members who work and live near Fort Riley.

Navy Federal has added 1.1 million members since its field of membership expanded beyond the Navy in 2008, including 240,000 Army, Air Force, Department of Defense personnel and their families.
