Navy Federal Materials On Popular TV Program

A little credit union flavor was added to last week's network television show, NCIS, which added several props from Navy FCU to give the weekly crime drama some feel for a real-life Navy setting. Producers of the popular TV show asked officials of the giant credit union, who provided them with a number of items to display on the set, including posters, issues of Navy Fed's 'Home Port' newsletter, stuffed animals of the credit union's mascot, and coffee mugs with the Navy Fed logo, which will be part of an office on an unidentified U.S. Naval facility.

"They indicated they want to make them permanent parts of the set to give it some authenticity," said Loren Moeller, spokesperson for Navy Fed. The producers also suggested the props may be used on the set of another popular CBS show JAG.
