The NCUA loan fund has become less used in recent years, even as the small technical assistance grants the agency awards through the fund have proliferated. The fund had $17 million in assets at the end of April, but only $7.7 million of it-less than half-was loaned out. The fund also reported $1.6 million in cash and $7.6 million in U.S. Treasuries.
