ALEXANDRIA, Va. – The former president of Credit Union Group CU was barred form the industry by NCUA yesterday for his conviction on charges of making false entries in the credit union’s books.
Mark Kasson, pled guilty to a scheme to hide delinquencies form NCUA and state regulators by falsely trying to show that $3 million of loans were sold to other credit unions.
NCUA also barred Mark LeCain, the former president of Sunshine State CU, who tried unsuccessfully to convert his credit union to a mutual savings bank. The credit union eventually succeeded in converting after LeCain was dismissed.
Also barred yesterday were: Jason Dodge, a former employee ay Huron River Area CU, for embezzlement; Lisa Holmes, former supervisor at Baylands FCU, for stealing $37,000 from the credit union; Deanne Hall, former teller at Nor-Car FCU; William Hamler, former employee at Syracuse Cooperative FCU and Linda Leathersich, former teller at 1st Priority FCU.
