NCUA Highlights Financial Literacy Resources for CUs, Members

The National Credit Union Administration is encouraging credit unions to take advantage of the agency's financial literacy resources as it participates in Financial Literacy Month.

The agency will participate in the Financial Literacy Day event Tuesday on Capitol Hill. The event, which is organized by the Jump$tart Coalition, aims to focus on the importance of financial literacy and the need for financial education and resources.

During April, the agency will devote content on its Twitter account to financial literacy issues such as saving, budgeting and borrowing.

The NCUA also plans to host a Twitter chat during the month with credit unions and their members, using the hashtag #NCUAChat and questions submitted beforehand via socialmedia@ncua.gov.
