NCUA Issues 6 Prohibition Orders

NCUA has issued Orders of Prohibition against the following individuals: Diane Carpenter, former chief operating officer with Hallco Community FCU, Gainesville, Ga; Jorge Cavazos, former employee with San Mateo (Calif.) Credit Union; Sherri Hollerback, former credit committee member with Birch Run (Mich.) Area Credit Union; Harold Johnson, former chairman of Birch Run Area Credit Union; Kelly Ann Ramirez, former teller with SPUR FCU El Paso, Texas, and Rose Marie Valdez, former bookkeeper with Sun Country Credit Union, Farmington, N.M.

The agency said Cavazos pleaded guilty to one felony count of unlawful appropriation of property and was sentenced to imprisonment for nine months, probation for four years and ordered to pay restitution. Cavazos is prohibited from further participation in any manner in the affairs of any federally insured financial institution.

Ramirez pleaded guilty to one felony count of misapplying fiduciary property and was sentenced to imprisonment for two years, which was suspended upon the condition that she submit to five years community supervision and pay restitution in the amount of $24,438.20. Ramirez is prohibited from further participation in any manner in the affairs of any federally insured financial institution.

Without admitting or denying fault, Carpenter, Hollerback, Johnson and Valdez consented to orders prohibiting them from further participation in the operation of any federally insured financial institution.
