ALEXANDRIA, Va.-NCUA said last week it has appointed Mark Treichel, the director of its northeast Region One since 2003, to be the acting director of its Office of Corporate CUs, the chief corporate examiner.
Treichel, who has been with the agency since 1986, will replace Scott Hunt, who has been acting director since November, when long-time director Kent Buckham was reassigned amid the meltdown of the corporates.
NCUA also said it is moving Jane Walters, currently director of mid-Atlantic Region Two, to be acting director of western Region Five. She will replace, at least temporarily, Melinda Love, who is leaving that job to return to NCUA headquarters as director of examinations and insurance, the agency's chief examiner.
Larry Blankenberger will serve as acting director of Region Two in Walters' absence.
