NCUA's Chief Financial Officer Dennis Winans To Retire

ALEXANDRIA, Va. - Dennis Winans, chief financial officer for NCUA and a fixture in senior management at the federal regulator for more than a decade, will retire at year end, the agency announced yesterday.

Winans, a former-Marine veteran of Vietnam, has worked for the federal government for 35 years, the last 28 with NCUA.

During that time he has served as comptroller, as director of the National Credit Union Share Insurance Fund, and since 1995, as CFO, helping to trim annual double-digit increases in spending to raises around the cost of inflation.
