New Dimensions FCU Buys Branch From Troubled Maine Bank

WATERVILLE, Me. – New Dimensions FCU has acquired an Augusta branch from troubled Border Trust, where it plans to open its second branch.

The $57 million credit union plans to renovate the structure, the old Cony High Flatiron building, and open it has a credit union branch in February.

Border Trust is selling the building to consolidate its Augusta branch operations into its corporate office in the city’s downtown. The move is part of plan by the bank to recapitalize.
