New Mexico CUs Aid LocalHospital

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. - (03/15/06) – The CU Association of NewMexico will give University of New Mexico Children’s Hospitala check for $216,000, which was raised by the state’s creditunions over the past year. The donation is a down payment on a$1million the credit unions pledged to help finance construction ofthe hospital’s new pediatric emergency wing. Credit unionssold stuffed animals, collected change at teller stations, andraffled artwork provided by members, with all of the proceeds goingto the hospital fund. The Albuquerque hospital treats more than57,000 children a year.
