SANTA FE, N.M. – More than two dozen New Mexico credit unions are waiving non-member surcharges on unemployment insurance debit cards.
The state Department of Workforce Solutions and the CU Anytime ATM network are entering into a partnership to waive ATM surcharge fees for the Unemployment Insurance Prepaid Debit Card, starting Monday.
CU Anytime joins the Independent Community Bankers Association of New Mexico, which also waived the surcharges.
Those fees normally are charged consumers for transactions outside their financial institution's ATM network. But CU Anytime will now waive that $1.75 fee.
Bank of America fees still apply to the transactions.
The CU Anytime system serves 27 New Mexico credit unions and their members.
