Liberty has introduced Check Management Solutions, which it describes as a one-stop, online resource that enables credit union staff to resolve-and even help prevent-non-payment, NSFs, lost or stolen checks, forged signatures and other wrongdoing. The company noted the goal is to reduce charge-offs and increase collections. CMS incorporates the new Check 21 laws, which take effect in October. "That means (credit union) staff won't have to invest valuable time learning the new laws' complexities," said Liberty Product Manager Kristy Grayson. "In fact, at the click of a mouse, credit union employees get explanations for thousands of issues, laws and procedures involved in managing checks."
The CMS product integrates five tools: Check Issue Resolver, explanations, forms, letters, and preventative steps. It was developed in partnership with ResolverGroup, LLC and CO-OP Network.
