MADISON, Wis. — A new white paper is out that helps credit unions address a growing opportunity — indirect merchant lending.
With credit unions seeking new lending streams, the CUNA Lending Council has published "Merchant Lending: Indirect Loan Opportunities." The paper explores the market opportunity for merchant lending, the competition for merchant lending, and the economic environment and its effect on merchant lending programs, among other topics.
The council stated that the market opportunity for indirect merchant lending is big and not only provides CUs with much needed lending revenue but also new members.
