ALBANY, N.Y. – SEFCU, formerly known as State Employees FCU, is sponsoring a Habitat for Humanity home building project.

The construction project is part of Capital District Habitat for Humanity’s South End Renewal Project – a community revitalization project in Albany’s South End. The SEFCU House will be the fifth home built on Odell Street by the non-profit developer, whose mission is to assist low-income families achieve first-time homeownership.
The $1.5 billion credit union is contributing $35,000 toward construction costs, and dozens of volunteer employees who will help build the home.
Ground was broken on the project last week.
